Basic Computer Literacy

This is a course for beginners who have no prior computer experience and wish to learn the basic operations of a computer. Students are introduced to basic computer terminology, essential computer concepts, Windows basics, file management, Internet basics, and information literacy. In addition, students learn how to create and edit a Word document. This course is a combination of teacher lecture with demonstrations and hands-on individual practice in a learning lab environment.

Office Professional

Prospective students interested in the Office Professional program must attend an Informational Session and take both an English proficiency exam which will be administered at the Informational Session. Students who meet the minimum reading score will be admitted into the course. Information about “NO COST TRAINING” and financial assistance will be provided during the Informational Session.

Customer Service

Learn about the importance of Customer Service! A part of this curriculum includes introduction to the National Retail Foundation Customer Service curriculum and an opportunity to take the industry recognized certification. Fees do not include exam fee for the National Retail Foundation Certification.

Introduction to Accounting

This is a beginning course in practice accounting for business. Learn about the accounting cycle, debit/credit rules, journalizing and posting business transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial statements, closing entries, reconciling bank statements, and basic payroll processing.

Learn how to create and format spreadsheets using simple formulas and functions.

Data Analysis Using Excel

The use of Excel is a powerful data analysis tool and almost all businesses utilize in in the business operations. This introductory course is designed to give students working knowledge of Excel with the goal of using it for more advanced statistical purposes. A basic knowledge of Excel is required.
